Currently, we are in Agua Dulce at Hiker Heaven. It is a trail angels house converted into a makeshift tent city with every amenity you would want as a PCT Hiker. They have tents set up for laundry, outdoor showers, toilets, hiker boxes, chairs, kitchen, a shuttle to town every other hour, mail service, you name it and they have it. As I write this I am currently sitting in the Internet Tent stocked with laptops and power strips packed full of phone and GPS chargers. We got here yesterday evening and today we are making the shift to a purely nocturnal schedule. So Cal is experiencing a heat wave for the next few days and we are quickly approaching some of the flattest, hottest, and shade free parts of the trail. So, as most living things in the desert do, we will operate completely at night for the next 150 miles. I am hopeful that this will help us make many easy miles as we won't have to worry about the heat at all. Except for keeping cool in the day time of course. Good news is the desert is finally getting close to being done.. This shift in our schedule is the mark of the beginning to the end of the hot Mojave desert. I can't say I'll miss it but the Sierras may prove me wrong!

Goodbye to day time strolls in the mountains. It's now time to become Nightwalkers and full time shade seekers.
